B.I.G. Radio Airlines Rated

Saturday 1 August 2009 we, radio amateurs from Breukelen, begun with the radio on shortwave. It also celebrated Henry Hudson 400 year. Until the end of 2009 event is continued under the name Radio pc400bkl from different locations in Breukelen.

During the weekend BIG Radio (Ice rink at the site of Breukelen) until the end 2009 no less than 2352 radio communications made. Including in many radio amateurs in the USA. Several radio stations from around New York are also in our log file found.

The most common modes were digimode with psk 31 en Phone.
80, 40 and 20 meter, the most popular bands in which most connections were made PC400BKL. While the connections we experienced huge pile-ups with our radio station PC400BKL. After explanation of why this special callsign was active and even nice comments we received congratulations.
Several US radio stations found our initiative â € ~amazingâ € ™ Â .
Since his departure from the Netherlands, The ZOA is € ™ s little tradition that contact is made with old villager and B.I.G.-member Willem Store (WP3UX). William currently lives in Puerto Rico (USA). William would doubtless also actively contributed to more active compounds from the Netherlands when he could have been.

The requested permission was only 28 valid days per applicant (nickname). With intervals of three weeks could then another BIG member initiative, on the event to call PC400BKL, continue. These conditions of Radiocommunications Agency, we missed it too much radio. Because it is more fun when you nonstop and continuously with various amateur (in our case from Breukelen) an air bridge can make.

The air bridge PC400BKL radio station was part of the activities undertaken by the municipality BrooklynBrigdgeBreukelen Breukelen organized.

The Broken Lense amateurs thank everyone who made this special event memorable (including the municipality of Breukelen, VAR newspaper, Paul-PE2LZ, Tax, VRZA department and Veron 08 Utrecht and Telecom Agency).
